.EDB files are the repository of all Exchange Server data. Any kind of corruption is easily tackled if you use professional EDB Recovery software.

Let’s consider an instance related with Calendaring agent. Suppose you try to save few appointments in MS Exchange Server and you notice that Calendar option fails to function properly. Some or all of the calendar information are lost. Additionally, you receive the similar entries logging in application event log of Exchange Server:

Event ID: 8206
Source: EXCDO
Description: Calendaring agent failed with error code 0×80040229 while saving appointment

And

Event ID: 1160
Source: MsExchangeIS
Description: Database resource failure error First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (MAIL) occurred in function JTAB_BASE::EcPrepareUpdate while accessing the database “0xfffffc0d”.

You may also encounter Event IDs 2 and 7200, which also means failure of Exchange Calendaring agent.

Reason for this behavior

Exchange Server exhibits the above described behavior when file-level antivirus software is installed and is configured to scan the Exchange Server directory (EXCHSRVR) structure.

Solution

Simple solution to this problem is to re-configure your antivirus software and not to include EXCHSRVR directory and drive ‘M’ in this scan.

What happens is that file-level antivirus software locks and scans the file that is currently being tried to access by Exchange Server. Thus, the Information Store (IS) fails to lock this file and eventually the file becomes corrupt and unusable.

One should not panic in such times. So whenever this occurs, firstly try to restore the database from a previous backup or apply ESEUTIL repair utilities like – /p and /r for the affected Exchange Server database(s).

However, if nothing fruitful comes your way, then it’s recommended to use EDB Recovery software without wasting any further time. EDB Recovery Software scans and repairs the corrupted database effectively. It recovers each and every existing file item including Appointments without modifying original file contents. It repairs the heavily corrupt Exchange database files .EDB and restore user mailboxes with every email, attachment, image, email property and other relevant items. The recovered email data are then saved to Outlook .PST file. tagheuerformula.

Scheduling appointments becomes essential when you are working in an organization or corporate or business entity. Calendaring option in MS Exchange Server allows performing several scheduling tasks, including creation of appointments and saving of appointments.

For smooth functioning of Appointments in Exchange Server, it is required that Exchange directory structure remains excluded from antivirus scanning. There is a possibility that antivirus scanning may lead to some kind of obstruction in the working of Exchange Server. Another disadvantage of scanning your Exchange Server directory structure is that it may also lead to corruption of the most important files in your Information Store (IS) of Exchange Server, such as .EDB, .STM, .CHK, and .LOG files. xtracms.

Separate Personal Folders are created on the same system for different users using Outlook and these PSTs are secured with password set. Following are the steps involved for setting password for Personal Folders file.

1.

On the File menu, click Data File Management to open the ‘Account Settings’ dialog box.
2.

On the Data Files tab, click the Personal Folders file (.pst) for which you want to create a password, and then click Settings to open the Personal Folders dialog box.
3.

Click the Change password button.

However if your email account runs on MS Exchange, this button doesn’t appear. Your Outlook folders are already protected by your Exchange password.

1.

In the New password box, type your new password. The password can be up to 15 characters long and case-sensitive.

Use strong passwords that combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Weak passwords don’t mix these elements.

1.

In the Verify password box, type your new password again.
2.

If you share a computer with others, don’t select the Save this password in your password list check box. Anyone else accessing the same computer can easily open your .PST file with saved password. If your Windows user account is password protected, and no other user has access to the computer, you can select the Save this password in your password list check box if you want to avoid entering your password each time you need to use the .pst file.
3.

Click OK twice, and then click Close.

So it’s easy to set a password for Outlook profiles. You just need to make some changes in the settings. Quite a few times, we tend to forget the password or somehow lose the page on which we have written the password. Outlook password recovery software unlocks your MS Outlook email account so that you can access your important emails, contact list, and calendar entries that are saved in .Outlook pst files. Software provides instant and accurate Outlook password recovery. aidim.

Microsoft Access application enables you to Repair Access File through inbuilt tool – Compact and Repair. It works in a number of MDB or ACCDB corruption scenarios and restores your database to a working state.

Compact and Repair Tool

The Compact and Repair utility is a combination of two programs – Compact and Repair. The Compact tool eliminates empty space in Access database. It does this by making a new database and then copying every object of old database to new one. If you do not want to create a new database while compacting the database, the tool creates a temporary Access database, exports all database objects from old to temporary database, deletes original Access database, and renames temporary database with the name of original database.

The Repair tool of Compact and Repair utility attempts to repair the database tables, queries, and indexes. However, it doesn’t attempt to repair the damaged reports, modules, macros, and forms. Although, Compact and Repair tool helps you in several situations to get your database repaired, but it does not repair all database objects and can not handle severe corruption situations. In such circumstances, third-party Access Database Repair applications come to your rescue.

The applications are powerful enough to handle all types of Access database corruption scenarios. They thoroughly scan entire database using high-end scanning algorithms and retrieve all database objects. These access repair tools do not demand sound technical skills as they have simple and rich graphical user interface. The software preserve the integrity of the database due to their read-only and non-destructive demeanor.

Access Recovery is a comprehensive application that repairs and restores damaged MDB and ACCDB database. The software works well with Microsoft Access 2007, 2003, 2002, and 2000. It recovers all database objects such as tables, queries, indexes, reports, forms, macros, modules, and constraints. europa2004.

Is your MS Access database (MDB or ACCDB) behaving strangely during start-up or while accessing? Are you unable to open Microsoft Access database? Are you experiencing Jet Engine 4.0 corruption errors in Microsoft Access 2000? All this may occur due to corruption of the database or its objects. After corruption, Access application can not read/understand the contents of the database, until you repair it or restore it from backup. If the backup is not available or not updated, access database recovery methods are required.

Access database corruption may take place due to a number of system, application, and environmental factors. The corruption can be identified by odd behavior of database, corruption error messages, or inability of database to open. You may encounter Access database corruption due to virus infection, application crash, improper system shutdown, simultaneous editing of the database, and more. muug.

An integrated set of applications embedded in Blackberry Desktop Software allows the users to maintain a link between their phone and personal computer. The user can easily synchronize, customize, and configure the emails
(and other MS Outlook data) using the software. In most cases, it is also used to create a backup of your important data. While the application consists of numerous advantages, it has its own pitfalls. One of the major disadvantage being deletion of emails post synchronization process. This primarily occurs when the synchronization process is not performed systematically. To access the emails after deletion in such cases, an easy way is to restore the data from an updated backup. However in scenarios where the backup is inaccessible, the user needs to use an efficient third-party Deleted Email Recovery application. pangee.

*

The Sent Items folder is equal to or above 2 GB in size
*

You send an email message, but the message stays in Outbox folder
*

You try to reduce the size of Sent Items folder by deleting and moving e-mails, but to no avail
*

You observe that some of your e-mails unknowingly disappear from the Sent Items folder and are not found in any of the other folders.
*

You compact the folder but it doesn’t shrinks

Reason behind this issue

Sole reason for this abrupt behavior of Outlook Express is the corruption in Sent Items folder, which is damaged due to file oversize issues. We know that Outlook Express files have default file size limit of 2 GB (OE version 2002 and below).

Solution to this problem

In order to fix up the issue, one can delete the Sent Items folder or rename it and then go for recreating the Sent Items folder. File name for Sent Items folder is ‘Sent Items.dbx’. Follow the given below steps to recreate the folder.

1.

Close Outlook Express.
2.

Click ‘Start’ and then go to ‘Find’ (or ‘Search’).
3.

Click ‘Files or Folders’.
4.

Type ‘Sent Items.dbx’ in the Named box.
5.

Select your primary drive (usually ‘C:’) in the Look In box and click ‘Find Now’
6.

Select ‘Sent Items.dbx’ file and right-click it
7.

Click ‘Rename’ or ‘Delete’ (choose this option if you have a backup or the folder doesn’t contain any important e-mail(s)). Type ‘Sent Items1.dbx if you click ‘Rename’
8.

Click ‘OK’ and restart Outlook Express. This recreates the folder(s) that Outlook Express doesn’t find at start

During this recreation process, email file data are prone to loss. Therefore, you should adopt a secure way out. You must Repair Outlook Express using diligent Outlook Express recovery software. Sent Items folder that becomes corrupt due to 2 GB size limitation are easily handled or repaired using this software. Every item Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items, Drafts, Deleted Items, Personal folders and any other folder of .dbx files are repaired by Repair Outlook Express software. sante.

(1) Outlook takes considerable time to load.

(2) When you switch between the folders (for say, from Inbox to Sent Items), Outlook hangs momentarily.

(3) You find issues when importing or transferring a large sized PST file.

Also, a large PST is susceptible to corruption as compared to small-sized PST.

Solution

(1) An Outlook user using IMO mode needs to manage the PST file size regularly. Following are some basic solutions to reduce the overall size of file:

(2) Delete the undesired and unnecessary e-mails as soon as you notice them. You also need to compact the file as PST is a database and deleting the messages will have no impact on its size. To compact the file, click File | Data File Management and select your file, click ‘Settings’ and then ‘Compact Now’.

(3) Archive your PST. You can archive the original PST for its old e-mails or on the basis of senders’ e-mail IDs.

Split the PST file. For this, you need to use a third-party Split PST software.

A commercial PST File Splitter is an easy-to-use application that can split a large-sized PST file, safely and easily. These applications use effective and safe procedures and divide the file into smaller PST files, by creating new files, and leaving the original file as-is. You can install them using some simple steps.

Stellar Phoenix PST File Splitter is an advanced utility that can split Outlook data file (*.pst) on the basis of e-mail ID and message date. This Split PST File software supports
